dear diary,

you know those butterflies you get in your stomach when you are in the beginning stages of dating someone?  how nervous/excited you get to see them?  how your heart skips and beat and flutters because you are so happy to be around them again?  well, i am one lucky gal because i still get those even after being with my hubby for 3 years now.

i'll be honest, i don't feel those little fluttery guys in my stomach every day, but when patrick comes home from being on a fire i sure do.  i get all giddy and nervous just like i used to when we had only been dating for a few weeks or months.  it's so much fun.  it makes me realize how much i really do love my husband and how much i love this man who makes me laugh more than anyone, makes me feel like a million bucks, and provides so much for me.

so patrick, if you're reading this, i love you!  and thank you for being such a sweet and loving husband. as nacho libre would say, "you are THE BEST!!!!"

  3. Just found your blog, and I love it! I had to go read all of your posts, all the way back until you started :)

I just recently moved away from Orange County, and now I'm kicking myself for not finding those 'hidden' thrift stores that exist. I frequented the Salvation Army off Lake Forest and the Goodwill off El Tore on my way home from work a lot, and I found them to be a little over-priced for thrift stores.

However, I found the smaller thrift stores down in San Clemente to be better priced, and with a more unique selection of items. I loved going down there on a beautiful Saturday and walking up and down El Camino Real to all the different stores. Definitely miss that!

At any rate, you've inspired me to do more research on the thrift stores in my new area. I thought there were like 5, there are more like 20! And that's not counting consignment stores either.

I think I've rambled long enough, so I'll just leave it with this - keep up the great work!!
