dear diary, 

tonight patrick and i decided to hit up main street in huntington beach for taco tuesday.  this has ALWAYS been one of our favorite date spots.  we have come here on tuesday nights ever since we started dating.  its where we began to fall in love.  its also where we discovered one of our favorite bands The Human Lab.  check them out they are awesome.  

anywho, we had fun tonight, despite the fact that patrick was super tired.  it's probably a TAD bit obvious in the pics.  we walked around, shopped, ate at an all you can eat taco tuesday restaurant for 5 buck-a-roos, listened to a fun band, hit up one of my favorite thrift stores {American Vintage}, then headed home.  

in case you were wondering, i didn't buy anything at the thrift store.  it's a pricy one, so i usually am too cheap to buy anything.  afterall, its called a thrift store for a reason!

sorry for the picture overload.  i couldn't decide which pictures to post because i liked them all. 

this is probably one of my new favorite outfits.  i am in love with my new necklace, which you might have read about here.  i have worn it everyday for the past 3 days.  and i'll probably wear it again tomorrow haha.  

i am also in love with these new heels.  they are perfect for summer and SO hot!  usually i don't wear heels around patrick because he's not much taller than me so i feel like a giant, but either i have shrunk or he has grown because i was only like an inch taller than him in these bad boys.  which makes me happy because i don't know about you ladies, but for some reason whenever i slip on a pair of heels i instantly feel like one hot sexy mamma.

dear diary, 

today was a beautiful and awesome saturday.  not only did we get to go to catalina, but i got to spend the whole day with my wonderful hubby and our great friends brad and ashli.  

with doughnuts and a ham and cheese croissant in hand we boarded the catalina flyer and left balboa.  once we got to the island we ate at this delicious little taco place called topless tacos.  then we walked around and soaked up some rays on the beach.  we got some delicious ice cream, watched some skateboarders on a half pipe, rented a golf cart and drove around the island, walked on the pier and, of course, did a little shopping.  

last time we were on the island we found a little thrift store.  of course, i wanted to explore this little place once again, but sadly, it was closed :(  i was really bummed because i wanted to get a little souvenir from catalina, but i didn't want to get the usual sweatshirt or mug.  

little did i know that waiting for me in a little shop was the freakin awesome geometric necklace in one of those pictures!  i actually had seen this necklace on pinterest a few months ago and pinned it on one of my boards.  it wasn't linked to any kind of website to buy, so i could never find it.  but then, as we walked in this little shop i saw it sitting in the glass counter by the register.  i think i was meant to find it.  it wasn't thrifted, but hey, as much as i love it, i don't really care.
